New York Minute: Dinner at La Cerveceria

How’s everyone doing? It’s Joyce! I’m back with a restaurant review this week! ^_^

One of the things I love and appreciate the most about NYC, are the vast amount of different dining options available. Being a native New Yorker, I don’t think I can imagine living anywhere else in the U.S. I may consider moving to another country in the future…never say never, life is unpredictable right? But as of right now, NYC is and has always been my home. The options are limitless here when you walk outside…gotta love that!

I was in the mood for some Latin food the other night so Alex and I decided to go to La Cerveceria.

Food Porn :-p Shalala~~

“La Cerveceria introduces Latin American tapas with sharp Peruvian influences and a concentration on American craft beers and New World wines from the realms of small and landmark producers.”

Have you visited NYC before?

Photos from the night!

View of the Restaurant

Lobster Guacamole (Fresh Avocado, Lobster & Shrimp, Plantain Chips). We ordered this as our appetizer. The seasoning was right on :]

This beer was alright. It wasn’t cold enough which was a bummer~ I can’t remember the specific name since I don’t really like the taste of beer in general. I prefer cocktails; anyone else? By the way, the drink menu offers a wide list of unique beers from different countries if you’re into that type of thing.

Chicken Quesadilla de “Yucatan” – So good!!! This was my favorite :]

Braised Beef Short Rib (Cacao, salsa natural, herbs). I don’t eat beef but the verdict at our table was positive!

Tuna Ceviche (Pineapple, peanuts, aji amarillo). It was my first time trying anything ceviche; not bad! =]

Overall, I would recommend La Cerveceria. Good ambiance, pleasant chill atmosphere (we went around 7pm so there was a lot of people there- mostly after work crowd), and most of all, delicious latin american food!! YUM~ I would definitely go back. This place is pretty small though! But, there is outdoor seating~

Here are some more NYC street photos in the village! (aka “East Village”)

Check out this mime we spotted outside the train station in the summer heat! Our kind Alex gave him $1 tip lmao!
